About this Playground

The Mill Race Park and Campground is open year round. Reservations are not taken. This park, located approximately 1 mile from downtown Atkinson, is a 50-acre scenic retreat on the Elkhorn River and includes a 14-acre fishing lake. Non-motorized boats, including boats with trolling motors, are allowed on the lake. The campground currently has ample room for parking of 16 RVs, trailers and campers with electricity provided at each site and a portable water hydrant located nearby. Tent spaces are available throughout the park, but campfires are only permitted in designated areas. The area also features a bathroom/shower house facility by the campground which is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
